As the designer Daiki Suzuki has said: “Baracuta represents a real turning point in the history of menswear” and it continues to convey the changes and innovations of our time in that direction. The structural work distinguished by Baracuta’s signature style and the architectural design of Engineered Garments have given life to two pieces of original waterproof outerwear that offer excellent performance while maintaining elegant, sophisticated lines.

First and foremost, we have the Baracuta Engineered Garments Blazer that comes in black or Blackwatch and stands out with its ultra-light weight and polished, comfortable fit. Another must-have when travelling is the Baracuta Engineered Garments G9 Jacket that comes in Blackwatch and Micro-check and conveys the urban feel of New York today, a place that has held a special place in Daiki Suzuki’s heart for some time.

Baracuta is one of the historic brands of British clothing. Born in Manchester in 1937, its iconic G9, G4 and G10 have become timeless classics. The G9 is still one of the most celebrated icons in the history of menswear; created by the Miller brothers in 1937, with the distinctive Fraser Tartan lining, granted to the Miller by Lord Fraser, of the Lovat family and recognisable from the unmistakable umbrella motif on the back. The G9 cult exploded in the 1950s with its distribution in the United States and the adoption of the brand by celebrities such as Elvis Presley, James Dean, Frank Sinatra and Steve McQueen. In 1964 Baracuta G9 became universally known as the “Harrington” jacket thanks to the popularity of Ryan O’Neal who wore it in the role of Rodney Harrington in Peyton Place. In recent years this classic British style icon, has also been adopted by several youth subcultures, including mod, punk, skinhead and various English rockers.
