Car Boot Fairs attract people for many reasons; the possibility of finding a diamond in the rough, the haggling over a bargain that they will never use, taking-in the spectrum of characters on display or just simply having a nose to pass the time. The AW19 campaign sees the brand teams up with photographer Alec McLeish to document British Car Boot Fairs. These events are a regular weekend staple in most towns and communities and bring together people in a local public setting. The campaign imagery sees Stepney Workers Club focus down on the mix of social interactions, diversity of interests, sellers’ pride & efforts, British humour and sense of nostalgia that are found at these gatherings.
The AW19 collection sees a new style added into the range. LISTER is Stepney Workers Club’s take on the classic slip-on sneaker and has our iconic S.W.C proportions and branding treatments. This season sees the introduction of autumnal colours in canvas (Petrol & Burgundy) as well as on suede (Grey & Military). Canvas black DELLOW gets a 2nd option added to the collection with a black sole. The VARDEN canvas black Hi-Top gets a seasonal partner in an inverted colour-way of canvas ecru with black sole and trims.
